1. Specific Surface Area (SSA):

The total surface area of a material per unit mass, solid or bulk volume, or cross-sectional area. It is an important criterion of adsorption efficiency of adsorbents.

 

2. Hydrophilicity:

The tendency to interact with or be dissolved by water and other polar                                   substances (solvents).

 

3. Plasticity:

The propensity of a material to undergo permanent deformation under                           load.

 

4. Organic Ligand:

molecule that can bind to, and form a stable complex with the metal clusters within a MOF structure.
